Quilt for an hour-Hour #1

I am done with hour #1 :) I got 24 HST's done. But I don't have a 1/4 inch seam thing on my machine so I drew on the back of all my light squares with a black pencil crayon.

These are only 5 of the designs for the blocks. I'm not sure exactly how many I have but enough so that each block is the same pattern.

And the lightest light color I could find was a blue pattern. I don't have any white fabric, so blue has to do. Okay I do have white fabric but it has butterflies so it wouldn't do well as a background fabric.

I'm sure the blue will be fine :) I am so far behind now I may not ever catch up and I really wanted to do it. SIGH oh well :) xoxo melzie

I have that blue fabric myself, it's sure pretty! I'm sure over time your stash will grow bigger and you'll get a wider variety. :)

My favorite quilts of the ones I have made is where the background isn't a traditional white or dark. I prefer using a lighter version of the dark fabric - I think it adds a lot of character.
Your colors look great.
