The Pattern

NOTE: I want to use all my own colors, not buy her fabric, so I need it all figured out by the fabric A light value, medium light value etc. Can anybody help?

All seam allowances are 1/4". Please read all directions before beginning and press carefully after each step.

Fabric A: 1 3/4 yard of BTR-4850 Sky
Fabric B: 1 1/3 yard of BTR-4850 Sage
Fabric C: 1 1/4 yard of BTR-4850 Spice Fabric
Backing: 3 yards of BTR-3909 Lapis

Cutting Instructions:
Important: Before cutting strips, cut values apart at cut line.
Fabric A (Light value): Cut (1) 2 1/2" strip, from strips cut (14) 2 1/2" squares.
Cut (4) 2" strips x length of light value fabric. Piece strips together for binding.
Fabric A (Medium-Light value): Cut (2) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (14) 2 1/2" squares and (14) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric A (Medium value): Cut (3) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (14) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles and (14) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric A (Dark value): Cut (4) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (14) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles and (14) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric B (Light value): Cut (1) 2 1/2" strip, from strips cut (12) 2 1/2" squares.
Fabric B (Medium-Light value): Cut (2) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (12) 2 1/2" squares and (12) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric B (Medium value): Cut (3) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (12) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles and (12) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric B (Dark value): Cut (4) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (12) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles and (12) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric C (Light value): Cut (1) 2 1/2" strip, from strips cut (10) 2 1/2" squares.
Fabric C (Medium-Light value): Cut (2) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (10) 2 1/2" squares and (10) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric C (Medium value): Cut (3) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (10) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles and (10) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles.
Fabric C (Dark value): Cut (3) 2 1/2" strips, from strips cut (10) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles and (10) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" rectangles.
Backing: Cut backing into two pieces each 1 1/2 yards long. Sew together along the long edges.
Assembly Instructions:
1. To make Quarter Log Cabin Block, sew Light 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square
to Medium/Light 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square.
2. Add Medium/Light 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangle to first two squares.
3. Add Medium 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangle.
4. Add Medium 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle.
5. Add Dark 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle.
6. Add Dark 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" rectangle.
7. Make (14) Quarter Log Cabin blocks from Fabric A,
(12) blocks from Fabric B and (10) blocks from Fabric C.
8. Following quilt photo for placement, sew blocks into rows.
Sew the rows together to make the quilt top.
9. Layer, quilt and bind as desired.
